Having personally experienced and studied bereavement and loss, I appreciate how deeply we can be affected and how important connection to a safe, supportive person is. As a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist (MBACP), I now have the honour of offering support to others through their most difficult times.
I operate within the BACP Code of Ethics. This involves adhering to the Ethical Framework, developing my skills by Continuous Professional Development and receiving regular supervision.
Face-to-face in sessions are available in Skipton and Keighley. Online and telephone sessions are available nationwide.
I am fully insured and DBS checked.
While working as an Intensive Care and Palliative Care Nurse, I developed a deep understanding of loss, resilience and the power of genuine human connection.
I have supported people for over 5 years as a Cruse Bereavement Counsellor through some of life's most difficult times. This has shown me how individual responses to grief can be, as well as how much counselling can help.
My two year placement at a local college, allowed me to offer a safe and supportive space for students and staff with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, family issues, trauma and low self-esteem.
As a Blue Cross Pet Loss Volunteer, I offer gentle, understanding support to those grieving the loss of a beloved animal companion.
